According to Ayurveda, if a person put on more weight quickly or does not gain enough weight depends on the imbalance in five elements: fire, sky, water, air and earth and constitution of three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. However, poor diet and inactivity are also considered the top reasons for obesity. Physical workouts and a healthy diet plan can do very little to help if the underlying cause of dosha imbalances are not addressed at the same time. It leads to fat deposition in our body, which becomes unhealthy then.
The most primary Dosha is Vata, but a significant imbalance in Kapha leads to weight gain. Therefore, weight management in the Ayurveda system deals more with the way our digestive system processes food and include specific ayurvedic treatments to increase fire and decrease anabolic metabolism. This program includes several ayurvedic therapies, massages and steam, and ayurvedic herbs and drinks to increase pitta (fire), which will improve the body's overall metabolism.
Please note we don't give you any specialised diet or restrictions during this therapy. You can eat healthy and yummy food like all the other people in our school, twice a day and fruits once. We may recommend reducing the amount of rice or bread. Unlike many other weight management programs, we will not compel you to eat less or more.
Nevertheless, most of our diet plan consists of vegetables, curries and lentils, salads, and a separate fruit meal. From our experience, starving is not a solution. Instead, we want you to eat healthily. In addition to a healthy diet, yoga, pranayamas and meditation are also provided. It can be advantageous in maximising the effectiveness of this ayurvedic therapy for weight loss.

I joined the basic Ayurvedic course to learn about various herbs and therapies that I can implement for myself and my family members, and it's worth it because after completing my course from Kasturi Ayurveda centre, I can quickly treat the daily health problems of my family with the help of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda means medicine from nature. It showed me the path of how can I take care of my body, mind, and inner self with the help of yoga, Ayurveda and meditation. Ayurveda is a blessing for humans, and using natural remedies is an ancient method to fight different diseases. So trust in mother nature and feel the magic of Ayurveda.
